Recycling Information at StyroTech Ltd

Effective and responsible recycling is at the heart of Styrotech’s production processes and overall manufacturing operation.

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is widely produced and used in our facility. It is highly suitable for recycling and is widely used in energy recovery units, where its high calorific value makes it an ideal power source. In addition, during combustion EPS releases only a fraction of the carbon monoxide produced by wood or cardboard.

Thousands of tons of EPS are recycled across the UK every year and turned into a range of items including clothes hangers, plastic decking and outdoor furniture.

The cardboard and moulded pulp used in our production process is entirely recyclable and reusable.
